Version 13 plugs in the latest Blender Cycles engine as the main photoreal renderer, and is only really something you’d want if you were a 3D photoreal animator. Poser is now at Poser 13 Early Access (March 2023 for Windows, Mac due very soon). Much of which has since been rebuilt / replaced by the community for free, though not all. Poser 12 made the real-time comic-book line-art slightly better in quality, but also moved to Python 3 and thus broke decades of third-party scripting.

It runs fine on Windows 7, with the only proviso being that some store-bought P12 third-party scripts won’t work (Windows 7 lacks the native encryption modules).Ī “most basic possible” Poser demo of superhero-style foreshortening + real-time comic-book lines, on an unmodified and unclothed base character.

Note that the “Windows 10” claim is questionable.
